The processor is the most important part of your PC. The higher the price, the faster the processor. We recommend getting the best processor your budget will allow. This will give you a faster PC which remains up-to-date for longer. Our base default processor is the i5 12400 and it will easily handle general home & office functions such as web browsing & word processing, as well as moderately demanding audio production software etc. For heavier PC use and more resource-intensive programs, consider upgrading according to your budget.

16GB of memory will handle home & office functions, but the rule is simple: the more the better. Opting for extra RAM is an inexpensive change that will make a big difference. We find Kingston to be the best brand for RAM.

These days most media is loaded via USB or download, so a DVD player/burner is not part of our base model. If you need it, add an excellent LG 24x DVD burner. If you want your PC to be a full-service entertainment centre, add a high quality LG BluRay burner (10x BDR; 16x DVDR).

Your processor (CPU) already has native in-built UHD graphics capabilities. So, for general use such as internet browsing and high-definition video viewing you don't need a graphics card. You can even experience 4K resolutions thanks to the native CPU graphics if your monitor supports it. However, we do offer a few graphics card options powered by Nvidia if you plan to use graphics-intensive programs relating to video edition, animation, 3D design or gaming. Note that if you want a PC fine-tuned for gaming, you should be on our gaming PC page! If you want to get the best graphics performance you can, get the best graphics card you can afford.

Select a 21.5", 24" or 27" inch monitor option by LG or Acer. Each one is a full HD widescreen LED monitor featuring a HDMI connection for a superior HD experience. You can also order these screens in pairs which is something to consider if you are looking to be more productive. You can have different windows & programs open on different screens - emails one side, spreadsheet or internet browser another side etc.

Choosing an appropriate power supply for your Audio Production PC is made easy at this step. Our base default Cooler Master 550w power supply will run any of the PC combinations made with this PC builder. However, it is a good idea to give yourself some headroom with the power supply, depending on the complexity of the PC you are making. Just work off a sliding scale from an entry-level PC all the way to a 'best-of-everything' PC. The more involved your PC is, the more power it will consume and therefore the greater the power supply wattage we recommend in order to run it comfortably.

All our power supply options meet the 80 Plus standard. For you technically-minded people out there - the 80 PLUS® performance specification requires power supplies to be 80% or greater energy efficient at 10, 20, 50 and 100% of rated load with a true power factor of 0.9 or greater. In layman's terms - they're officially certified as far more efficient than typical power supplies.

We're keeping it simple and practical here. You have the option of a couple of great pairs of speakers. We know most of you will have your own specialised audio setup already but if you are in need of some speakers you have a small selection here.
Choose from Edifier's small R12Us for general use, or their MR4 Powered Studio Monitor Speakers for more professional use. The MR4s come in either black or white to match the colour of your PC tower.

Choose what you need from these connectivity devices. If you need to connect wirelessly to your modem, all our Systems come with AC Dual Band Hi Gain WiFi included. However, if your router supports the highest WiFi 6 AX speed then you have the option to upgrade to the fastest AX WiFi 6 Dual Band High Speed/High Gain WiFi. The AX Dual Band WiFi 6 is over 3 times faster than the standard option. You will need to add a Bluetooth adapter if you connect your devices with Bluetooth. Our choice for an HD webcam is Microsoft, which also has a built-in microphone. You'll need this for Skype & video conferencing etc.

We offer two essential software programs on your PC - Microsoft Office Pro 2021 and Kaspersky Premium. If selected, these programs are provided at a heavily discounted price and fully installed by us. We include the genuine product keys on your tax invoice for your records.
